"This 6-tooth chainsaw clutch drum is 3/8-Inches. When the engine’s RPMs are increased, this causes the clutch to expand and contact the clutch drum. This is what causes the clutch drum and chain to turn.
Some common causes of the clutch drum to wear are if the chainsaw is stalled frequently, if the chainsaw is run with the brake still engaged, or just general wear and tear caused by the continuous turning of the chain over time, which may cause the drives links to begin to skip on the sprocket. If you are changing the type of chain on your chainsaw, you will also need to replace the entire clutch drum to fit the different chain.
To access this part, you will need to remove the side cover, the chain, and the bar. You will then remove the retaining clip and the outer washer. Now remove the clutch drum from the crankshaft. "
