Product Description ?

It is a genuine OEM sourced item that is specially designed for use with Echo handheld lawn and garden equipment. A centrifugal clutch is a part that uses centrifugal force to connect two concentric shafts, with the driving shaft nested inside the driven shaft. Today’s centrifugal clutches will function even when they shouldn’t, far beyond the point of when they need to be replaced. Keeping an eye on equipment performance will determine when the centrifugal clutch requires attention. This is an identical replacement for a missing or faulty clutch assembly that was originally installed on a new unit, please make sure to refer to the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this component. This high-quality clutch is made of durable metal and is sold individually.

I then removed the throttle cable and removed the screws holding on the front cover to gain access to the clutch
I placed a screwdriver between the cooling fan and the casing and removed the clutch by turning it to the left using a pair of vise grips
I replaced the new clutch by following the steps in reverse to remove it
I slid the head back onto the shaft and tightened the bolts aligning the head on the shaft
