Questions & Answers for Stand Mixer Motor Brush

I need to replace the motor brushes on my mixer model K5-A. Do you carry the correct part and if so what is the part number I need to order? Thank you.
DR for model number K5-A asked on 2022-02-18
Hello Dr, Thank you for the question. We are sorry, we looked up the part and it is listed as No Longer Available/Discontinued. There are no part substitutions listed. Our suggestion here would be to call the manufacturer and see if they can provide you with a substitution for these part numbers and contact us back with the updated substitution number. We hope this helps!

Only turned on occasionally, problem was obviously electrical and brushes were first accessible parts to inspect. Severe cupping at ends of magnet suggested excessive wear and immediate replacement

Most people would not try and repair this old mixer, but it was the first gift I gave my wife for our new home. We flooded in Harvey, and the mixer sat under 4 foot of water for 10 days. I cleaned it, dried it and it ran, but I could tell it needed attention. I put all new electrical parts inside and it runs, but I need to set the speed and switch positions. Balancing the settings is the hardest part of the rebuild.

    thanks,

    Craig
