This is an original part from Abu Garcia. The brake block (black) is made of durable plastic, and is found in Ambassadeur fishing reels. This component helps to secure the clutch washer in the spool assembly. The brake block is sold individually. You will need a screwdriver and a pair of pliers for the replacement.

Lost the handle but lock screw and handle nut lock, worn plastic gear 1

1. Removed 3 screws in side covers
2 Removed the reel handle and drag star nut
3. Removed side covers to allow access to crank gears
4. Took screwdriver and removed screw holding gear on to side cover
5. Removed worn out gear and replaced with new one.
6. Then cleaned and lubed and reassembled reel in rev erse order that I disassembled it.
7. Now works like a champ !

Removed right side reel plate, remove spool and replace break blocks. Reassemble

Needed new brakes

Remove handle but cover with screw driver, remove handle not remove tension washers, unscrew thumb screws remove side plate, install new brakes and repeat removal steps in reverse order.

Remove the reel handle , removed the nut holding the star on , loosened 4 screws and separated the reel and exposed the parts I bought from yGÇÖall to replace
