Genuine Bostitch replacement part, this item is sold individually.
The Piston/Driver Assembly is the part of the nail gun that drives the nail into the material that is being used.
To help extend the life of a pneumatic tool use the specified oil in it daily 4-5 Drops will do every time you use it.
The Piston/Driver Assemblies do have a tendency to bend or break if not used correctly or if you are driving nails into extra hard material.

    Piston driver broken

    Remove the 4 bolts from the head. The remove the piston/driver from the cylinder. Look for any broken parts or any debris in cylinder. Put the piston ring in the top groove of the piston, lightly oil the piston ring, then insert it into the cylinder. Replace the head with the for bolts, be careful not to damage the head gasket

    The driver broke off the piston

    Remove 4 allen screws from head of nailer and remove head.Remove piston and driver from cylinder. Install new piston ring into groove at top of piston and insert into cylinder. Replace head and 4 screws. I'm sure that there's a torque spec for the screws I use the good and tight method. I've never had any problems with reusing the gasket.

    Nail driver piston broke off

    Remove 4 screws on top of nail gun, gently pull off top. That will give you access to the part to slide it out and replace.

    Removed head screws.
    Used new driver to push old out of gun.
    Slide new driver into cylinder.
    Replace head unit.
    Screws back in.
    Attach air and test fire.

    Removed the off back plate
    Removed the piston/driver, piston ring and o-ring
    Installed the the new piston/driver, piston ring and o-ring
    Installed back plate
    Shoots like a new gun

    The nailer was mistakenly oil for an extended period and subsequently damaged the piston and driver,: this is an "oil-less" gun

    Simply dismantled the head and piston assy., removed the parts, cleaned vey well, greased the parts as required, re-assembled. Works like new. Applied magic marker writing to say "do not oil".

    Remove 4 screws , tap lightly on back of body and out comes the old piston. Replace old piston with the new one but be mindful of the orientation.
