Product Description

?

This is a genuine manufacturer sourced replacement part designed for Senco nailers/staplers. This item provides an air-tight seal for the piston assembly. Over time this seal will shrink, become brittle and crack allowing for air leaks. At that time it should be replaced. It is made out of rubber material and it is sold individually. Replacing this item you would need a screwdriver and a tool to remove the old seal. Note, when replacing this seal it is good time to check on condition of other o-rings and seals as well.

Installed all the new seals I ordered. The nylon seal needed to be heated up so it would streach. I put it in a dish of water and microwaved it for one minute on high, that made it just flexible enough to get it on to the piston top.

Took the back of the gun apart, 4 Allen bolts.
Took out the old seal that was dry and broken.
Make sure you put the flat part of the seal towards the front of the gun otherwise it wonGÇÖt seal. I put it on backwards (ItGÇÖs really hard to take it off once you put it on).
Put it back together and worked great!

1. Removed head, then the piston.
2. I used a small flat blade screwdriver to remove remaining seal and o-rings.
3. I removed all internal parts and cleaned them before reassembling the nailer. The new seals and o-rings installed very easily. The finish nailer works like new.
4. The cleaning was optional. But after al most 9 years of use, it needed it.
