It helps to provide an air tight seal for the cylinder. Please note, this rubber o-ring is sold individually. To complete this repair you will need a hex key also known as an allen wrench.

Removed the top and pulled out the piston and cleaned out all residue. Then replaced the o-rings and seal. Lubricated the O-rings with white lithium grease and put back together. Like new again.
1. Took nailer apart.
2. Ordered parts.
3. Cleaned nailer.
4. Installed new parts.
5. Tested nailer.
6. Complete job nailer working good as new.
