Removal and replace parts went ok except nuts are very tight and I had to use an extension (large box wrench) to loosen the nuts and retighten to as found condition.
The big problem was trying to get the bottom pan/plate to fit on the side rails. The clutch shaft fits through the rails at each side with a bushing that has a flange that causes a very tight fit.
I had to loosen several of the metal bolts that keep the rails attached to the engine base area so that the side rails could flex inward to allowing fitting the bottom plate to the rails. This was a very hard part of the job.
Watching the how-to videos I found helped a lot except none show the difficulty with final bottom plate install

Skipped all the info a repair video told me and leaned on that broken drag link to pry the steering plate down just enough to get a crescent wrench in there.
I got the old drag link off then put the new one through the hole and put all my weight on it to pry the plate down far enough to bolt that one on.
I connected the othe r end to the wheel thingamajig and i was off in the wind again.
