This part has been sourced from the original manufacturer and is intended to be used with walk-behind lawnmowers from Husqvarna, Poulan, Weed Eater, and Jonsered. The metal pawl is used to secure the pinion to the transmission axle to allow the two parts to rotate in unison. This drive pawl is priced as a single item, please note two may be needed.

1. Removed old wheels, gears, bearings, cutting blade, and belt.
2. Needed repair shop to reassemble bearings as I could not get the spring rings off.
3. Replaced old parts with new. Used hammer and screwdriver to tap E-clips into place as my spring ring tool broke.
4. Replaced belt according to instructions provided.

Remove both front wheels by removing wheel nut, axle pin, wheel drive gear. All of it should slide off the front axle. Remove drive belt retainer and drive belt. Remove gear box and reassemble.
Drained gas and ran mower engine dry
Turned mower upside down
Loosened hub nut to remove tire
Removed spring clip to remove tire drive wheel and removed drive wheel
I then soaked the drive Pawl on drive shaft and spent much time with punch to drive it out.

Rear wheel bearings on adjuster and drivegears replace
A mechanic friend of mine removed all of the damaged parts. Then he started by inserting the pawl drive in the drive shaft. He then placed the adjuster bearing on the shaft ,then the pinion and place the the e-ring on the end of the shaft. Lined up the gear on the wheel and the pinion, then tightened the hex nut on the to axle.

Front left adjuster and self drive teeth on plastic wheels stripped
1. Removed both front wheels.
2. Removed self drive gears.
3. Removed old front adjusters (decided to do both)
4. Installed new height adjusters.
5. Installed new self drive gears (bought new ones as the old ones would not seat over the resized new bearing sleeves that were part of the front adjusters. New ones
