This is a genuine Craftsman part for use with Lawn Mowers. The drive gear attaches on the inner side of the drive wheel. The drive gear meshes with the pinion in the drive wheel to propel the mower. The most common reason for replacing the gear is when the self-propel system will not drive one or both wheels. This part is sold individually. The tools that you will need to replace the gear is a 12mm socket and snap-ring pliers.
