The spark plug is made of metal. This is available as an individual replacement part. It is an authentic OEM sourced item which is specially produced for use with Generac generators. During replacement, it may require a wrench to help install this part correctly. It will require replacing if it breaks.

I removed, opened up and cleaned the carb. No parts needed except new gaskets.
This was time consuming but saved over $50.
The spark plug and air duct were old, rusted and damaged. Replacement was simple.
The valve for the fuel tank was essential. The part was a perfect replacement.
