The air cleaner gasket attaches to the carburetor. It is made out of metal and is sold individually. This is an authentic Generac replacement part that is sourced from the original manufacturer for use with generators. A socket set may be needed during the replacement of this part. It will need to be replaced if it breaks.
I removed, opened up and cleaned the carb. No parts needed except new gaskets.
This was time consuming but saved over $50.
The spark plug and air duct were old, rusted and damaged. Replacement was simple.
The valve for the fuel tank was essential. The part was a perfect replacement.
Removed the gas
... Read more tank, cleaned thoroughly, put new valve (with integral fuel screen) in place (do not over tighten), and the unit runs like new. Old valve was restricted and fuel flow was weak.
Removed the old gaskets
Identified needed parts
Replaced parts and started on second pull
Have to pay attention to order and orientation of gaskets
