This is a genuine OEM sourced replacement part that is intended to be used with lawnmower engines from Ryobi, Husqvarna, and Poulan. The metal tube is used to link the exhaust port on the cylinder to the muffler assembly. This exhaust tube is priced as a single item.
Remove the bolts holding the muffler
Removed the screw holding the exhaust tube
Remove the exhaust tube
Installed the new exhaust tube with the new gasket
Installed the new muffler
1. Thought I had to remove the dashboard cover to get at the clutch cable later learned by way of YT you remove the gas tank.
2. To remove the cover you had to had to remove the steering wheel and Hex nut which was frozen
3. Trying heat carefully I thought, I still was unable to remove the nut
4. I finally bought a nut

5. Upon inspection of the steering wheel I discovered that the heat had destroyed the connection between the SW and the steering post.
6. Replacing the cable took 30 minutes through removing the gas tank.
7. Recommend to DIY to seek out instruction from videos
1. Removed old tube exhaust pipe and engine gasket.
2. Inserted new tube exhaust pipe into muffler.
3. Placed 2 hex head screws through tube exhaust flange and installed engine gasket on screws.
4. Threaded screws into engine and tightened down.
5. Repair complete.
1. Removed the 2 bolts holding on the tailpipe.
2. Pulled the broken half out of the muffler.
3. Inserted new tailpipe into the muffler.
4. Bolted the tailpipe back into place.
