This is an original Shindaiwa replacement part manufactured for use with lawn and garden equipment. The muffler cover helps protect the user from the hot muffler, and prevents damage to the muffler. The cover is sold as an individual replacement part, please note the hardware used to fasten the cover is sold individually.
Just make sure that all of your new parts are laid out separately, in order to allow you to keep everything separate from the old parts that you will be removing. ... Read morerts when installing the new parts. I use 90 degree type Allen Head wrenches without handles that way I do not over tighten fasteners. I had gasket material that stuck on me around the intake portal to the piston that needed to be scrapped off, so I brought the piston to TDC and stuffed a small bit of rag in the hole to keep debris from getting inside the head.
I also bought from a local store a replacement muffler and muffler bolts and gasket that was installed during this time as well, but the store did not have the other parts I was needing.
EVERY part that I ordered from eReplacement Parts fit exactly as the old parts, I did not have to make any adjustments to the new parts to get them to fit.
When I was finished, I primed the carburetor, adjusted the choke and slid the on/off button to on, and pulled the cord one time and it fired right up. I adjusted the choke and set it down and let it idle as I put my tools up and cleaned up the area I was working in.
I am very happy with my whole experience dealing with eReplacement Parts. I will be ordering again from them.

Muffler mounting bolts came off causing muffler to melt the plastic cover
Remove to Allen screws for muffler cover replace cover and reinstall screws simple as that. Clutch spring split the engine remove all broken clutch spring and reinstall reassemble engine. Simple as that what are you doing
