Remove the four bolts holding the cover on. Remove the cover and clean out the cylinder seal remains. The seals dry out and become brittle. When they go, there are pieces everywhere in the cylinder and exhaust port. Clean and lube the cylinder with a small cloth or paper towel with air tool oil on it. Now the hard part, install the new cy linder seal. It is an extremely tight fit and it does stretch a little. Assuming that the cap gasket is o.k. and / or you haven\'t damaged it during the removal, put the cap back on. You will have to push it down and hold it in position because of the spring in the exhaust port. Bolt it down. You may have to push the driving pin back in to position if you pushed the cylinder down. Simply put a small diameter rod or screwdriver in to the nail nose and make sure that the drive pin is fully back (up) in position, otherwise it won\'t cycle properly and drive the nail. Put air pressure to it and test fire. This was an N65-CP nailer and the N63 part is the same for this gun.

Total Repair Time:

Parts Used:
T60006, MPP030020, 850607, 102549, 100212
1. Removed trigger valve assembly by connecting air hose to roofing nailer,,,the pins were missing so valve assembly popped right off
2. Lubed new trigger valve assembly with air tool grease and inserted valve in body, noting that the grooves on trigger valve assembly lined up with pins that hold it in
3. Using the roll pin pun ch of correct diameter, drove the pins in that hold the valve assembly and the trigger
4. Remove firing valve and removed the driver, cleaned cylinder, cleaned driver and installed new o ring on driver piston
5.Installed new cap gasket/seal and torqued the four cap screws,,,
6. Loaded nails in roofing nailer and tested it on piece of 2X4,,worked perfect,,very important to install the driver in correct position,,,failure to do so could break the hardened steel driver
