Insert wrench onto shaft and turn the damaged pad counter clockwise. Keep wrench on the shaft and screw on the replacement pad by turning clockwise. Remove wrench as repair is complete.

Move the counterbalance then slide the wrench on the nut, then just remove the old pad. Just that easy.
