This is a genuine OEM replacement part used with many Penn fishing reels. The metal drag spring is fitted between the left side plate assembly and the left side bearing. Providing resistance to the spool gears, this item is sold individually. The drag assembly is sold individually.
Full tear down, everything cleaned out or replaced. Was a sentimental reel owned by a grandfather who has passed. It was a pleasure to give his grandson back the reel he was taught with.
Used a screwdriver and a wrench set to install the missing parts.
