Fishing reel drag did not tighten, low drag strenght.

I disassembled the reel and laid each piece out in the order they came off the reel. The work was done over a large towel laid on the work surface to prevent a dropped part from bouncing off the table to the floor. Each part and the reel case was cleaned with cotton swabs and rubbing alcohol and oiled with Shimano brand oil and drag greas e. The reel was re-assembled in the correct order and part orientation. Some parts could be placed back in the reel in the wrong orientation(upside down) so be sure to note this when you pull them out of the reel.
It is very helpful to have a schematic of your reel at hand for reference when you put the reel back together.
The reel now works as it did new.
