It is a genuine item that is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with Shimano reels. The o-ring goes next to the cast control spacers. A screwdriver, a set of pliers, and a socket set might all be necessary during the installation of this part. Over time this item may break and will need to be replaced. The old parts were corroded.
Remove old parts.
Lube new parts with reel grease.
Screw on new parts in correct order.
