It is one of the special spacers that is utilized to provide a tight seal between connected parts. Over time the material may wear out and begin to crack eventually requiring a replacement. Note, this item is sold as an individual component. Check the diagrams of your model for the exact location and the correct installation of this spacer. You will need a screwdriver to take the reel apart when performing this repair.
