This item has been sourced from the original manufacturer to ensure quality. The oil pump is intended to be used with chainsaws from Poulan. This part is used to pick up oil from the tank, and transfer it to the chain oiler assembly. This item is available as an individual replacement part.
Replaced oil pump and associated gear. Learning how to do it from an ereplacementparts video. I think we were using an oil that was too thick that caused the pump to run dry and eventually burning up the gearing. Now with the new pump and a lower viscosity oil, things are running great!

Removed bar cover, chain and bar. Then removed clutch and finally oil pump. Installed new pump and reversed procedure for reassembly. Worked well after completion.
