The blade is available as an individual replacement part. It is made out of metal and will need replacing if it breaks. A socket set may be required when replacing this part.

2 Removed two bolts and spring washers
3 Pulled blades off the spindle
4 Replaced new blades
5 Replaced two bolts and spring washer

Rear wheel replacement
1 Removed axle bolt and washers
2 Removed drive gear from the old wheel
3 Placed ol d drive gear onto new wheel
4 Placed new wheel on mower

Replaced the blades from old & dull (sharpened 2X) with a new pair for next spring. Easy change the blades with socket wrench & a 2x4x@ 18in piece lumber for hold the moving blades while loosen the bolts & tighten respectively.

Used a 5/8 socket \"rated\" at 1/2\" as you need a bit of muscle. Looked at the old, and replaced in that order(very important). Also, put a couple \"quick sprays\" of WD-40 on the bolts. Never hurts...cleaned the under deck of stuck grass.

Two bolts is all,I used a piece of wood to keep the blade from moving as I loosened the bolts.

Blades held on by two nuts. Turned machine sideways and used right-sized sockets to remove and replace blades. Easy change!

Routine maintenance

Took off blade bolt with 14mm socket and reinstalled High lift blade. Air cleaner cover pops off. Then remove the old filter and place the new filter in. Ordered the mulching blade for when I want to mulch.
