This is an original part from Honda. The metal, low-lift (mulching) blade is made for use with many lawn mowers. The grass cutting blade is fastened to the blade holder, and is sold individually. A wrench is necessary for the blade installation.

An absolutely perfect fit. This is the second repair I have performed with parts I have ordered over two years and the fit has been perfect in both cases.
This is the second set of perfect replacement parts. Last year I had to rebuild the blade connector bracket on a 16 year old machine. This year was just replacing the blades which were too old to be re-machined and still be reliably balanced. I bought two sets of blades as the price was so reasonable. I can have one set on the machine and another set honed and ready for a switch out later in the season. Keeping the blades sharp, as well balanced, protects the main bearing from oscilation and vibration which can wear the main bearing out.

1 Removed gas from lawn mower
2 Undid spark plug
3 Stood lawn mower up
4 Removed the two bolts from the original blades
5 Replaced with new ones
6 Re-tighten bolts
7 Reversed procedures
Used a 5/8 socket \"rated\" at 1/2\" as you need a bit of muscle. Looked at the old, and replaced in that order(very important). Also, put a couple \"quick sprays\" of WD-40 on the bolts. Never hurts...cleaned the under deck of stuck grass.
Two bolts is all,I used a piece of wood to keep the blade from moving as I loosened the bolts.
