Blower would not start. Primer pump bulb got a crack and would not hold fuel.

Disassemble the carburetor to get to the pump bulb was easy but when it is time to re-assembly it seems like there are little rubber o-ring and a few small parts that just would not fit in. The saver was the mechanical diagram of parts showing exactly which component goes into what position. Once I read the diagram it takes less than 30 minutes to put everything in place. The blower started on first pull and it purrs nicely.
Lesson learned. First, print out the assembly diagram and/or taking photos of each component BEFORE disassembly.
It is amazing that this Makita 4-stroke leaf blower has run for 21 years without any repair until now. During the past year it began to get a little more difficult to start until few weeks ago when the bulb finally leaked to the point that I could not get fuel into the carb.
Thanks eReplacementParts.com for the parts and diagram availability for the home handyman ME to fix it. The local shop wanted $60 to clean the carb and replace the bulb plus a two weeks turnaround time. I spent less than $20 and got the satisfaction of being able to do it myself in half day.
