Mixer Retaining Pin WP9707223

Easy fix, did have a bit of difficulty getting it all in line but after it went right in and worded fine.

ereplacementparts did ship quickly, the website was fairly easy to use, and payment was easy. This item simply needs a slight adjustment to the description about its diameter and location of use on a kitchenaid stand mixer. I needed a smaller diameter pin which holds the worm gear on as mine snapped. I will start by saying, yes, I should have contacted this company prior to purchasing to ensure this was the correct part. However, I needed to order quickly. It was late at night on a weekend when I was ordering. I already knew I was not going to have time the next business day to deal with this. I ordered enough parts from various vendors to know I could fix it even if some parts were incorrect, broken, lost in transit, etc. and were returned later on. This retaining pin fits inside the outer spinner which holds attachments such as the dough hook. I was looking for the retaining pin which holds the worm gear in place. I did my best to research this but found no description or review for any retaining pin mentioning the worm gear, on any source I looked up. Granted, it was a short time period of research. I found one review on here saying they took apart the motor housing and used this pin inside the mixer. That was my best clue that this pin might be the correct one. Im not sure where that user used this pin if it were used inside the mixer but it is definitely too large to fit the worm gear assembly. I ended up using the entire worm gear assembly I had purchased from another source as I was unable to locate the pin needed. I would return the pin which cost me less than $4 but shipping to rerun it is more than I paid at $5.50! If ereplacementparts offers a free return I will return it and I would adjust/amend this review (or place a comment on this review), if possible, to reflect a higher rating due to great customer service. Unfortunately, that is a rare characteristic in most companies these days.
