Product Description
?This is a genuine OEM approved replacement part designed for use with chop saws. This item holds carbon brush against the armature. It is made out of plastic with metal and it is sold individually. Please note carbon brushes are sold separately. To replace this assembly you would need a screwdriver and pliers. • First remove screws holding the cover together • Carefully remove two halves of the housing to gain access to armature and brush holder • Remove the screws holding brush holder to the trigger • Remove the armature assembly and the brush holder • Install the new brush holder, brushes and the armature • Reassemble and test your tool

Brush lead broken off brush body and warped the holder due to high heat generated.

2. removed brush holder caps and remove old brushes.
3. Loosen set screw holding brush holder. Removed the warped brush holder with pliers & screwdriver. Case was slightly warped due to the excess heating so the holder came out in several pieces.
4. Clean rotor contacts with electrical con ... Read more tact cleaner to remove carbon buildup.
5. Used small file to smooth out case sides for new brush holder to fit back in. Inserted new holder and tighten set screw back down.
6. Install new pair of brushes and holder caps. Reinstall end cap.
7. Test ran chop saw to ensure a good repair.

which does not hold well , in use it comes off . Have go back into saw to fix . No part number for the right kind of connector .
