This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with DeWalt framing nailers. The seal is used to prevent air from escaping the tool between the end cap and body of the nailer. This seal is sold as an individual replacement part, please see model diagram for associative parts.
Took it apart, cleaned it up. Replaced all the o-rings & seals. Pretty simple repair. The parts diagram on your website was perfect. Helped me order the correct parts.

O-rings had come apart, I think I had to much air pressure
1. Remove allen screw, put in magnetic pan, remove tube where nails go.
2. Removed 4 allen screws from body.
3. Tap body with rubber hammer came apart.
4. Removed old seal and O-rings cleaned everything, put new parts in.
5. Put back together put screws back in tighten up.
