2. Rotate blade head to Lock blades automatically .
3. Remove blade binder. All bolts
4. Remove wire binder.
5. Replace wire binder on new binder
6. Install new blade and binder, ensure binder wire is under tension.

Cleaned the blade head.
Installed 2 new blade binders and blades.
Checked with blade jigs.
Tightened blade bolts.
They dont make tools like they use to so I am happy to repair my 30 year old Dewalt planer.
Bent blade binder and broken tensioner spring

2. Removed bolts from blade binder
3.Removed bent blade binder and the 2 screws from bottom side of binder that holds tensioner spring in place.
4. Removed cutting blades to inspect and sharpen.
5. Reinstalled blades, new blade binder and tensioner sping
6. Cleaned dus ... Read more t port with alcohol where the dust seals go
7. Installed new dust seals using gel super glue and let sit for 15 minutes before reinstalling dust port
8. Tested unit and everything ran great.
