This cord protector is a genuine DeWalt replacement part and is sold individually. Cord Protectors are designed to slide onto your cord and fit securely at the end, where it's firm rubber will protect the base of the cord from getting bent and pinched, which can expose the wires and become a safety hazard.

Power cord had worn out due to wrapping the cord around the motor when in storage

1)Remove the 2 screws holding handle to top of motor housing.
2)Remove the (8?) screws holding the top of the motor housing together.
3)Remove wire nut on neutral (white) wire.
4)Remove power cord and cord protector from motor housing.
5)Thread new power cord through cord protector.
6)Insert new cord assembly into motor housing.
7)Connect neutral (white) wires with wire nut.
8)Cut old hot (black) wire at a location were new black wire and a additional wire nut will fit in the motor housing.
9)Connect hot (black) wires with a new small wire nut.
10)Reassemble top of motor housing and handle removed in steps 1 & 2.
11)Plug new cord in a power outlet and test run the saw.

Miter saw clamp rusted, corroded and froze up.

Remove the old one. Had to drill out the screws that had corroded and froze up. Install the new one.

MY older B & D circular saw needed a power cord & protector replaced.

1. Removed handle, took a pic prior to starting, disconnecting all wires.
2. Slid protector into place, measured & cut necessary wires to follow the original path & length needed.
3. Added proper size wire connectors and reinstalled everything to look the same way before I started.
4. Put handle back and most importantl y....... tested.

The handle was broke and cord was bad

Removed the screws from the top handle, and removed the carrying handle. Took a picture of how all the parts in the lower handle were assembled and wired. Removed the cord clamp from the top handle , then removed the cord. I then removed the parts from the lower handle\' then removed the lower handle from the saw. I installed the new lowe r handle on the saw, then replaced all of the internal parts. I then slid the new cord protector on the new cord and connected the cord. Screwed on the cord clamp. Then installed the top handle on and screwed the handles together. I then screwed the carrying handle to the top handle.

unscrew the power cord from the switch and ground.
install new cord with strain relief to switch and ground
close up the case.

Ryobi 10 in. Table Saw (BTS21) Rusted and Badly Abused

1. Torn down to bear bones
2. Clean off years of rust by soaking in vinegar for 2 days
3. Remove busted bolts and re-tap hole 2 days (both SAE and Metric)
4. Begin re-assemble and lubricate moving parts 3 days
5. Test and align saw 1 day

Note: Only work on 1 to 3 hours per day
The saw w as brought from a pawn shop
Was able to most parts from eReplacement but some parts or items are no longer
manufacture (had to make my own)

the protector broke just outside the handle where it is fitted in to case

Removed the cord end on power cord. Slide old cord holder/protector oft the end of cord. Slid new cord protector onto cord. Fit cord holder in to retaining area. Installed the screws holding handle together. Put cord end back on cord, Job completed.

Side note: We had put a replacement end on cord few years ago when it f ailed
