Product Description

?

This is a genuine Presto replacement part, it is sold individually. The purpose of the 09905 Pressure Cooker Canner Sealing Ring/Overpressure Safety Plug Pack is two-fold. The sealing ring is used to create a seal between the Pressure cooker lid and the pressure cooker pot. In the event if the pressure regulator fails, and to much pressure builds up in the pot, the Overpressure Plug will pop out of the lid releasing the excess pressure in the pot.

THESE WEREN\'T FOR A RICE COOKER!!!!! They were for a pressure canner and a daily use pressure cooker!

Just remover hardened rubber parts and replaced. Then also replaced pressure gauge on canner and both got new gaskets. Very easy repairs. Bought extra rubber gaskets to have on hand because can\'t find them close to me. Jus t used screw driver and pliers. Parts were easily switched just had to make sure new pressure gauge was good and tight.

First of all, I did not have a rice cooker, but a Presto pressure canner, and a Presto pressure cooker
Took out old pressure gauge from pressure canner
inserted new gasket into hole. This took a few minutes, and a little maneuvering, but it is supposed to be tight.
Screwed new pressure gauge into gasket. that\'s it. wor ks great, doesn\'t leak.
Took out old sealing ring from pressure canner and put in new. Took out old vent plug and inserted new, required a little scrunching, but easy. Works great, doesn\'t leak.
This whole process (ordering, quick service, and replacing parts) was super easy, and so much cheaper than buying new equipment. My old pressure cooker and pressure canner are older, and heavier models, so I have better quality equipment than if I bought new.
