This is a genuine OEM sourced replacement part designed for use with Broan range hoods. Its purpose is to filter out dust, grease and debris. It is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. To ensure air circulation, remove odors and ensure top performance, it is recommended to change your filter every 6 months. This aluminum filter is sold individually.
Replacing this grease filter is a quick and easy task. You should only need a screwdriver.
• Remove the four (4) screws that secure the cover
• Take off the metal grid/cover
• Take off the metal wires
• Remove the grease filter
• Secure the new one in place
• Reassemble the unit

Hello Charlie, Thank you for your inquiry. To change the grease filter, remove the four (4) screws that secure the cover. Take off the metal grid/cover and take off the metal wires. Remove the grease filter, secure the new one in place, and reassemble the unit. You can try cleaning the inside of the unit very carefully with a cleaning agent or hot soapy water with a mild detergent and a clean soft cloth, making sure not to get any of the cleaner near the electrical wires and you can clean the grease filter with a warm detergent solution. We hope this helps.

Simply took the plate down from under the exhaust unit. Popped out the old lenses and snapped in the new. Took off the 2 z type holder and removed the old filter, and did the reverse to install the new one.
