During my basement remodel, my Bostitch air compressor quit building up pressure. It sat idile for 3 years. Bought another inexpensive compressor but ccouldn\
Simple repair. Removed the cover. Removed air tube from compressor head. Removed 4 head bolts. Removed the head, valve plate assembly and gaskets on both sides of the valve plate. Reassembled in reverse order. Ereplacementparts.com was fast in shipping the parts and was over half as expensive as other places. Second time I used them and will continue to with next project.

Question: Compressor Won't Reach 135psi

Martii

Once my compressor warms up, it can't get above 125psi and therefore continues to run. Would this be a result of worn reed valves?
Hi Martii,
Replace the cylinder ,piston reed valve and teflon ring along with the head gaskets. This pump used the early reed in the piston configuration and always had trouble pumping up.Also set your pressure to shut off at 120 psi and this will save undue stress on the pump.Hope that helps .Good luck.

Question: Valve Plate Assembly AB-A640050

RFerman

I have a Husky H1506F Portable 6 gallon air compressor with a broken reed on the valve plate. The part looks the same as for the Bostitch CAP60P-OF Valve Plate Assembly AB-A640050. Are they the same?
Also there's also a gasket on the reed side which should be replaced. Do you sell that?
Thank you,
Randal

Hello 1355251,

Unfortunately we do not supply Husky parts so I won't be able to compare the parts. But I can give you the dimensions on the Bostitch items.

Bostitch AB-A640050 Valve Plate Assembly: 3-1/4 inches x 2-3/4 inches. 3 reed valves in a 1-11/16 indented circle, top and bottom mounting holes center to center 2-5/16. Left and right side mounting holes center to center 2-5/16.

Bostitch AB-A650300 Cyl.-Plate/Plate-Head Gasket: Same dimensions as the Valve Plate except the hole is 2 inches in diameter.
