?Genuine Bostitch replacement part, this item is sold individually. There are two of these gaskets used on the compressor models shown below. They are placed in between the AB-A640050 Valve Plate Assembly. The purpose of the gaskets is to create a seal so air will not leak out. Over time these will wear and have to be replaced. This would be a good time to inspect the Valve plate Assembly for wear also.

Compressor didn\'t hold pressure above 20psi

2. Unscrewed the cylinder head - immediately saw the broken reed valve.
3. Replaced the reed valve and the gasket that seemed compromised when taking off the cylinder head.
4. Put it back together.

2. I replaced with the new valve plate assembly.
3. Placed new cylinder head gasket on the new plate.
4. Then replaced all the components of the cylinder head.
5. Pulled the broken quick coupling and replaced with the Quick Coupling 1/4in M.

2. Removed 2 screws and 2 bolts with the nuts that secure the cylinder head.
3. Removed the cylinder head to replace the damaged valve plate assembly.
4. Removed the intake reed valve from the top of the piston and replaced with the new part.

6. Reinstalled the bolts and the screws that hold the head and the torque.
7. Removed one screw on the piston rod and installed the new cooling fan.
8. Reassembled the cover and test ran. All worked fine.

Removed one air line and 4 bolts & nuts to inspect piston / valve plate.
Found valve plate damaged.
