Fit my Porter Cable reciprocating saw perfectly. Easy job. Needed a T20 Torx bit to open handle casing. Had to cut and splice the 2 wires from the cord inside the housing. Get splices for 18 ga wire.

Questions & Answers for Strain Reliever

What is the inside diameter of the strain relief?
Dave for model number 315-1 type 2 asked on 2023-05-06
Hello Dave, thank you for your question. We do not have the ID. We can confirm that is is a true fit for model 315-1 type 2. Also, the outer diameter is almost one inch. On our site, there is a grid behind the part that is mapped out in 1" squares for ease of measurement. Good luck.

Screwdriver, Torx bit to remove the cap

I removed the cap and it was easy to remove the cord from its terminals.
I used a wire nut to connect the Wire, this was a crimped connection from the factory.
I was using my router in a D handle base, my router had an 8' cord that I cut to use on the D handle. This cord after five years started to short out, I bought a cord from a router that came with the D handle base. The new cord was the correct cord needed for my set up.,
