2. Replaced rear flap with new flap. (No tools required)
3. Replaced blade adapter and blade (3/8 drive socket with 6 inch extension, forget the
socket size)
a. Either lift lawn mower up between saw horses or turn mower on side (make sure gas has
been drained.
b. Remove bolt holding blade and adapter. Make a note of the order of installation for the
parts. The attach bolt is a standard RH thread bolt.
c. Install the new parts in the same order as the removed parts. If available, use anti-seize
on the bolt threads for easier removal next time you need to sharpen the blade.

Installation is as follows: bend each side down until you can manipulate the pins into the bracket. Much easier with a helper. Lastly, you want the metal clips ON TOP of the guard to provide downward pressure to keep it on the ground. Installation will be MUCH easier with a second pair of hands. Good Luck!
