CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT GOOD. VIEWING A VIDEO MADE THE INSTALL EASY
The rear flap #731-06953 was the correct part and I was able to install it in short order after viewing a video. My problem is with eReplacementParts. It stated that there were 20 in stock and that shipments were usually made in one day. I was also given a tracking number but when I tried to find out where the item was in the shipment process, there was no information posted for that tracking number. I called the company but was only told that if I hadn't received it in 10 days, it would be marked as "lost in shipment." Finally, after 10 days it was delivered. I am not impressed with the customer service. My take away from this experience is: if you need your item quickly, you might want to order from a different company even if it costs a little more. I was without a lawn mower for over 10 days and why if there were 20 in stock.

One rear flap clip rusted apart and the flap itself became damaged
The problem was getting the flap back in position since the clips act as the hinge and the flap has the pivot stems as part of the flap moulding. It turns out once has to bend the flap enough to set the pivots on place. Trial and error to see how much to bend the flap to get the pivots into the clips. It took a while being careful
All I had to do was bend the rear guard, after putting 1 side into the slot on the lawn mower. When I was able to put the other side into the slot. Just make sure that you hold it down toward the ground else you have to bend it out to get it to go down to the ground.
I did this job alone, however, it wouldGÇÖve been much easier and taken less time with a helper. To remove old guard: pull up on guard in the middle until the pins are clear of the brackets that held them. The guard is somewhat flexible but to remove it takes a good deal of effort.
