This is an Original Manufacturer Approved replacement part. This part is made out of Foam and it is sold individually. The purpose of the filter is to keep dust and debris from contaminating the carburetor and engine. Once an Air filter becomes dirty, it constricts the flow of air to the engine so it will not run properly. Air Box and Air Box Cover are sold separately.

I followed the instructions that were included with the gasket kit. I\'m glade that they were included. I then removed the fuel lines from the carburetor. Remember where they went. Then removed the two screw holding the fuel tank. Then installed the new fuel tank and replaced the fuel lines. Then removed the air filter cover and replaced

1. Replaced the carburetor assembly.
2. Replaced air filter foam.
3. Replaced spark plug.
4. Replaced fuel tank cap.
5. Waiting for the fuel line hoses and fuel filter. (found hoses deteriated)
Took the back cover off of the Weedeater and pulled the whole motor assembly out about 3 inches. Removed 2 screws and the coil came right off. Put an old business card on the flywheel and bolted the new one back on. Spun it by hand to make sure that I had clearance. Slid the motor assembly back into place and replaced the rear cover. Put

Snapped off the air box cover and removed the old filter and replaced it with the new one. Then snapped the cover back on. Remove the screws from the purge bulb cover and removed the old bulb. Replaced it with the new one, then screwed the cover on.
This was very easy repair, I simply inserted the foam air filter in it\'s place next to the carburetor and snapped on the plastic air box cover. total time: less than 1 min.
