This is a Genuine OEM sourced replacement part designed for use with Trimmers/Edgers. This breather acts as a valve for the fuel tank, it allows for the air to enter the fuel tank but it won't allow fuel or fuel emissions to leave the tank. It is made out of Plastic and it is Sold Individually. No special tools are needed to replace this Breather Assembly, simply connect it to the line.

Parts but not for me
I ordered 10 parts for my string trimmer on May 4th and waited six weeks for them to be shipped. Parts arrived last week but they were not my order but for someone else. I contacted you to return the wrong parts and send my order but you said I had to send the wrong parts back for credit on my order and that I had to reorder all the parts I had originally ordered. I have yet to receive credit for my original order and the new order I placed has yet to be shipped. So now I have been without a working string trimmer for more then two months. This has been a terrible experience and I wonder if I will ever receive my parts.

Basically you Just take the old breather off and put the new on. It solved my problem right away. This trimmer is about 18 years old and with ereplacementparts.com it continues to run like brand new.
Easy disassembly of the air cleaner and carb. Removed blocked pick up filter and replace fuel supply line. Blocked passages in carb blown free with carb cleaner and compressed air. Replaced spark plug, engine ran like a top. Too easy!
Removed the shaft from the engine, air filter, plug cover and clutch shroud, fuel tank and cleaned all the parts. Replaced cracked fuel lines and pipe assy, with fuel filter and breather. Replaced clutch and spark plug. Checked air gap at mag/coil and lubed shaft end splines and greased the head.
