This is an authentic OEM sourced replacement part. This special fuel pipe assembly is used to deliver gasoline from the tank to the carburetor. When the primer bulb is pressed, fuel will be forced through this line into the carburetor. It is made out of flexible plastic and it is sold individually. Please note, clips, joints and the fuel filter are all sold separately.

Use your phone to take a photo of the line connections for reference before disassembly. When removing lines be careful not to lose any of the tiny compression rings. Use the photo that you took to ensure that you have reconnected everything properly.

Debris shield was broken, fuel line in tank cracked, fuel filter had never been changed.

NOTE: These instructions are for a 22 year old Shindaiwa T230 trimmer. All parts were an exact fit.

1 Remove and clean fuel tank shield from trimmer.
2 Remove and clean fuel tank from trimmer.
3 Disconnect fuel lines from carburetor. (Note position of 3 fuel lines)
4 Remove fuel pipe assembly from fuel tan k (It\'s a force fit in the fuel tank opening.).
5 Install fuel tank vent line and fuel filter on fuel pipe assembly.
6 Coat the surface of fuel pipe assembly that slips into fuel tank opening with light coating of silicon grease.
7 Press fuel pipe assembly into position in fuel tank opening.
8 Connect fuel lines to carburetor and fuel tank vent.
9 Install fuel tank and fuel tank shield on trimmer.
10 Prime per manufacturer\'s instructions and trimmer started on second pull.

Clutch wore out and fuel leak, general maintenance.

Removed the shaft from the engine, air filter, plug cover and clutch shroud, fuel tank and cleaned all the parts. Replaced cracked fuel lines and pipe assy, with fuel filter and breather. Replaced clutch and spark plug. Checked air gap at mag/coil and lubed shaft end splines and greased the head.
Keeping the cooling fins clean after each use is important to prevent overheating.

Using J shaped piece of wire to remove old fuel filter prior to removing damaged fuel pipe assembly. Replaced fuel pipe assembly. Attached fuel filter. Filled tank. Started machine. It ran perfectly. Super easy!

Fuel pipe assy tube tore off the grommet inside fuel tank

1. Remove top cover of motor with allen wrench.
2. Remove wire pinch clamps around old Fuel pipe assy tubes (3) pop out grommet.
3. Put Filter on w/clamp + install other 2 tubes, Plug grommet assy into fuel tank.
4. Reinstall Top Cover and your done...
