This is a genuine OEM sourced replacement part used with Poulan hedge trimmers. A spark plug delivers electric current from an ignition system to an internal combustion engine. After time spark plugs will become dirty or fouled. It is a good idea to replace the spark plug once this happens. This item is sold individually. You should gap your spark plug according to the owners manual of the outdoor product you have. You would need a spark plug wrench or a socket wrench to install this component.

The blower needed an annual change of spark plug and air filter
These are the steps i used... Remove fuel lines from carburetor note position of each. Open up cover of air box. Remove air filter. Remove two screws with Allen wrench. Remove air box. Slighty remove carburetor and unhook throttle cable linkage noting the way it hooks up. Remove carburetor. Make sure old gasket doesn\'t stick to carburet
... Read moreor adapter. Remove two screws and remove carburetor adapter. Take carburetor adapter, air box, and air box cover and clean with toothbrush and dishwash liquid. Dry thoroughly. Take a q-tip dip in cleaner and clean around cylinder where adapter fits. Push screws through carburetor adapter and put new gasket on screws pushing it on adapter so it lines up perfectly. Tighten adapter on cylinder. Push screws through air box, new carburetor, and place new gasket on screws against carburetor so gasket lines up perfectly. Install throttle linkage cable to carburetor. Tighten screws back down. Clean air filter, or replace then install air box cover. Hook fuel lines back up in proper position. Always, ALWAYS use non-ethanol gas in your weed eater with proper oil mixture. My Poulan weed eater is 13 years old and this is the first time I habe replaced anything on it.
Replaced fuel lines and other parts. Had to remove gas tank to get fuel lines through holes in top of tank. Tank comes off with rear housing of trimmer, 5 screws. Wait to cut fuel line to length until after tank is reattached.
1. Removed old fuel tank and spark plug.
2. Installed new tank with two original screws.
3. Attached new fuel lines to carburetor.
4. Installed new spark plug.
5. Put on new cutting line.
6. Good as new.
Removed fuel tank, attempted to push new fuel line into small holes, drilled holes slightly larger, run new fuel lines into the tank attached fuel filter, reattached tank, use RTV to plug slightly larger holes, the whole project took me 20 minutes.

Unit started extremely hard and would not run full-throttle.
Remove the carburetor and replaced all gaskets, fuel pump diaphragm and regulator diaphragm. Reseated bulb and replaced the gaskets which mate the carburetor to the engine\'s intake manifold. Once completed, I tightened all the bolts on the crankcase and engine head, replaced and gapped the spark plug. The unit started on the second

A quick note about the Walbro rebuild kit and the original parts in the carburetor. The fuel pump, for these carbs, in the original was a piece of blue plastic/mylar(?) that was solid. The replacement fuel pump looked like a mesh screen. That had me confused, for a bit. I did not realize that the replacement parts would look so different from the originals. That said, I should laugh at myself because this unit was made in 1996 and this is the first time it\'s been rebuilt. Things have changed, a bit, since them, obviously. LOL.
This was a quick, and easy job. If you can use a screwdriver you can do this work.
Remove the air filter assembly
Remove the fuel lines and throttle from the old carburetor
Remove the screws hold the carburetor on
Install the new carburetor and tighten the screws
Put the fuel lines and the throttle on the new carburetor
Replace the air filter assembly
Remove the old spark plug
