If my 125b blower stop running because of Stright gas does no mix, i have a compression 90. Do I have to replace the cylinder, piston and rings.
Richard For model number 125b - March 22, 2022

Hi Richard, Thank you for your question. If you used the wrong fuel mixture in your blower, the pistons will not be properly lubricated and they will freeze up. You will need to take apart the crankcase and replace the pistons and seals. The part number listed under your model number for the piston kit is 545081814. The part number listed for the gasket kit is 545081813. If you need help placing an order for these parts, customer service is open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

Engine would not start, after diagnosis, it was determined that there was a loss of compression. I did a complete engine disassembly and found the piston ring was seized.

After disassembly of the engine, I removed the old piston and replaced it with the new one. I made sure it was oriented exactly as the old piston had been (be sure to make note of the proper orientation during disassembly). I carefully put the ring around the groove in the piston and lubricated all parts with 2 cycle engine oil. I inser ted the piston back into the cylinder (also lubricated) and reassembled the blower insuring to use all new gaskets and seals to prevent leakes. (Note: I used a business card to get the proper gap between the magnets and ignition coil during reassembly.) After it was reassembled, it started on the fourth pull.
Had I brought the blower to a repair facility it would have cost nearly as much to repair as a new blower. I was able to repair this one as good as new for just over $40.00 and some time invested.
