Pivot arm and spring were broken. These two pcs retract the bail arm on the reel after casting your lure or bait.

Using a screwdriver:
Remove the bail arm
Remove the spring & pivot arm cover
Install pivot arm into the pivot spring
Place spring with pivot arm into housing and replace cover making sure to place the cover over the pivot arm pin.
Reinstall the bail arm.

Tripped and landed on my rod/reel bending the bail wire and damaging the bail holder and spring.

Took damaged parts off, replaced them, oiled the reel up and put it all back together. The whole process was pretty common sense and relatively easy to do.

Took off bail spring cover on Penn Sargas 4000 reel. Took out broken pivot arm n spring to replace. Took a little twisting and turning things but done in about 10 minutes.
