I had tried to make the bail close every cast but when removing the cover I lost the pivot arm . it was a simple task to replace it with a new one.

i removed the spring retention cover , inserted the pivot arm into the spring and replaced the cover.

Teeth on main gear broke due tobworn pinion

After taking the bell apart I replaced the pivot arm then put the bell back together it works like a brand new reel again,

Took off bail spring cover on Penn Sargas 4000 reel. Took out broken pivot arm n spring to replace. Took a little twisting and turning things but done in about 10 minutes.
