Remove the four nuts & bolts from the chute & retainer rings (1/2\" socket). Remove the four nuts & bolts from chute collar (7/16\" socket). Set the outer chute retainer ring in place and reinstall the chute collar. Set the inner chute retainer ring in place and install the front retainer ring nut & bolt.

The only time I ran into an issue was that when installing the lower chute, I tried starting with the center (rearmost nut & bolt) then installed the right nut & bolt. When it came time to install the left bolt, the hole in the chute didn\'t seem to reach the bolt. When installing the chute, I recommend installing the two outermost nuts & bolts and finally, the center (rearmost) nut & bolt. Once I switched to this method, I had no problems.

I took it apart with 1/2\" and 7/16\" sockets and wrenches, swapped the old rings with the new ones. Very easy, Just be sure to line up the index marks on both rings or your chute won\'t turn all the way right or left. Perfect fit !

1. Removed the 4 bolts holding the chute housing
2. Removed the worm gear bracket
3. Removed 4 nuts and bolts from the retaining ring holder
4. Removed the tiny cotter pin for the worm gear
5. reassembled all the parts.
Note: The only damage I could see were the broken teeth on the outer ring. I would have b een very angry if I didn\'t order the worm gear bracket. The damage to the worm gear bracket was only found when it was disassembled.

I had taken the chute and retainer rings off to see what parts I needed to order. I placed the order and the parts arrived within the posted time.

The correct parts were sent, and they were received in good shape.

If I need parts for anything in the future, I\'ll definately order from replacementparts.com

Simply put, I replaced the damaged parts with new parts using a socket set. I suspect I will have to make the same repairs in a season or two based on the fact that so much plastic is used in the manufacture of modern day products. I did not purchase this product, it was a gift. I will continue to use ereplacement in the future.

Old broken parts were already removed. I noticed that it would be easier to put capscrew that goes thru both inner and outer rings at the snow shoot on first. Making it easier to get everything else to line up. It all went on easy and I was happy that all parts looked original.
