It is an authentic OEM sourced item which is specially produced for use with Murray, Snapper, and Simplicity snowthrowers. The axle bearing fits between the axle shaft and the flatwasher and helps to reduce friction. During the installation process, a screwdriver and a wrench set might be needed to replace this part. It may become broken and will need to be replaced. This is made of metal and is available as an individual replacement part.

Removed right hand tire removed drive sprocket pin and slid out axle. Pried out old worn bearings and hammered in new ones. Reassembled axle, drive sprocket and wheel. Lubes as necessary

Remove the bottom cover pan. remove wheels, remove locking washers , remove sprocket wheel bolt, slide out the axle, tap out bearings ( one on each side ). Tap new bearings in and add a small amount of grease then reverse the procedure for installation.

Removed bottom cover, removed wheels, slid axle out, removed sprocket and bushings,removed eight bolts from sides ,replaced chains ,put the eight bolts back in,put bushings sprocket and axle in,put tires and bottom on,started it up and cleaned some snow. Easy job?

Axle bushings wore down to where the axle had too much play and would kink the chain drive.

1.Remove wheels and bottom plate
2. Utilize a screwdriver to pull worn out bushings out (retainer ring was wore completely away)
3. Put in new bushings on both sides
4. Pounded the retaining ring on both sides using a rubber mallet to push the ring all the way into the slot to hold bushing in place
5. Replaced bott om plate with new screws and lock washers
6. Wiped excess lubricant and the snow blower ran great

Removed the wheel locking pin, removed the wheel, removed the locking washer, removed the bearing from the axle. Put the new bearing on and reassembled.
