Needed new fuel tank

Empty all of the fuel out of the tank. Removed all of the parts on the old tank that are not included with the new one. Then removed the old tank. I then installed the new tank and installed all of the parts that were taken off of the old tank.

Rust in gas tank

Removed carburetor bowl, clean out metering jet remove and replace gas tank.
Snow blower was left outside for a couple seasons and moisture had accumulated in the tank.

I started by watching 2 You Tube videos on carb replacement, it was the most involved. Many parts had to come off and in a special order for repair. The Parts ordered fit perfect and all were as listed.

Snow blower would not start. Fuel tank had holes, Carb bowl was rusted and full of water.

1. Remove the key, choke knob, and throttle knob.
2. Remove plastic shroud over carburetor.
3. Disconnect wires to safety key.
4. Remove primer bulb hose and fuel line from carburetor. If there is gas in the tank, clamp the hose to prevent gas from pouring out.
5. Disconnect spring and linkage from carburetor and slide carburetor off the bolts noting the location of the gaskets.
6. Remove start switch for access to the tank bolt.
7. Remove the V belt housing cover between motor and blower hood.
8. Remove the 3 tank bolts.
9. Clean all the gaskets and sealing surfaces for the carburetor and begin assembling the unit.
10. Clean the spark plug and change if needed.
11. Check the oil level and fill or change as needed.
12. Start it and let it run to make sure there are no issues.

i removed the tank cover then removed the 2 bolts holding the tank, then i removed the hose clamp then put the new tank on in reverse order
