Product Description

Removed 4 screws holding down the pad. Unscrewed the bearing. To unscrew the bearing you will need to stop it from spinning. Then place bearing into the new base. The fit is tight, so I got the bearing as close to the bottom as I can then I screwed down the bearing to seat it. Unscrew it to replace the 4 feet/cushions. Then screw d own the plate to the body.

Instructions were provided on the eReplacement website.

The old countersunk head screw was difficult to remove after years of being in place. I had ordered a replacement along with a replacement base anticipating that difficulty. The longest part of the repair was removing the old screw. I used penetrating oil to loosen the threads over a couple of days but that didn\'t work. Eventually, I drilled a small hole in the screw head and used a screw removal bit (extractor bit) to back it out. That gave much more leverage than a Philips head screw driver which stripped the top.

After that, it was easy. Remove the parts held on by the screw, replace parts, and attach new base. Follow instructions provided on website. They are very detailed.
