This is an Original OEM replacement part designed for use with Porter Cable Nailer. This part is made out of Plastic and it is Sold Individually. The Nose Cap is attached to end of the Safety Element to prevent the material that it is being used on from getting marred or dented by the pushing lever. It is a advisable to have one or two extra on hand as they do have a tendency to crack and deteriorate over time or simply get lost. To replace this item you do not need any tools, simply slide it on the Safety Elements end.

. The repair entailed clearing the jam and installing the retaining ring, safety spring and nose cushion. Took about 15 min. most of time was clearing the jam.

Nose cushions were broken on nailer and stapler. Took me more time to open up the bags then to put the nose cushions on and oil. Around 5 minutes total on both
