VERY SIMPLE REPAIR. THE HARDEST PART WAS CLEANING ALL OF THE SMALL PIECES OF PLASTIC FROM THE OLD PISTON STOP.
REMOVED THE FOUR SCREWS HOLDING DOWN THE BACK COVER OF THE NAILER.
LIFTED OUT HEAD VALVE AND COMPRESSION SPRING TO ACCESS THE PISTON STOP.
REMOVED THE OLD PISTON STOP AND RING,BUMPER AND CLEANED COVER. ... Read more >INSTALLED THE NEW RING,BUMPER, NEW PISTON STOP, OLD COMPRESSION SPRING AND HEAD VALVE.
ADDED A LITTLE OIL AND REATTACHED COVER.

Leaking air inside nailer

I disassembled the gun carefully to see how each part works & to reassemble gun,
After cleaning gun, I put on the new parts & it nailed perfect. This gun is about 30 years
old & thank you for still having the parts!

Nailer wouldn\'t retract all the way

Removed the 4 screws to remove exhaust housing
Removed the spring loaded bumper from the exhaust housing
Dumped out all the broken debris
Replaced the bumper and reassembled
