This item is a genuine Bostitch replacement part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with pneumatic nailers. The rubber bumper is one of two pieces that fit under the cylinder and are used to absorb the impact of the piston. This item is priced as a single item, please note that the bumper-B is separate.
Removed the top cap from the gun
Removed the driver
Removed the cylinder
Removed the worn and broken bumpers
Cleaned out the interior of the gun
Installed the bumpers
Replaced the cylinder and driver
Oiled the interior of the gun
Replaced the top cap
I disassembled the gun carefully to see how each part works & to reassemble gun,
After cleaning gun, I put on the new parts & it nailed perfect. This gun is about 30 years
old & thank you for still having the parts!
Remove the top cap
Remove the driver and piston
Remove the cylinder
Remove the bumper A
Remove the bumper B
Remove the driver guide
Clean complete tool and oil parts
Assemble in reverse order
Install the new rubber washer
